What Would You Prefer For A Healthcare Plan?
We need a single payer plan that covers EVERYONE in this country. We need to move away from Employer provided plans to individual ones so people aren't losing coverage when they lose jobs. COBRA is a joke as it is too expensive for an unemployed person to afford. I know this as we couldn't afford the $760/mo for my husband's when he lost his job of 30 years. With the huge unemployment figures in this country, you'd think this would be a no-brainer!
Great minds think alike!
So the Politi-Pollster has been on hiatus for a while, and even though he's been besieged with requests for yet another awesome Politi-Poll. he realizes that one cannot just pull great Politi-Polls out of thin air. One must be inspired. What with the election over, Geo W. Bush sorta out of the limelight (Praise Be!) it takes a little bit more now to fire the imagination. What would be a good topic for a Politi-Poll? Then it hits him: Health Care Reform! It's in all the papers, on the TV machine and the wireless radio, like, Dude, it's everywhere! So the Politi-Pollster begins to formulate the perfect questions for a new poll, and as he is agonizing over just what they should be, he gets an email from our pal Paul Ward over at www.mediamechanic.com, announcing Paul's newest website, www.fixamericashealthcare.org. And wouldn't you know it, Paul has a poll there that is virtually the same as the one the Politi-Pollster is working on. I mean, it is 99.937% smack-dab dead-on the same, and what's more, the spell check has already been done! So with Paul's permission, the Politi-Pollster has lifted his questions and presents them here for you, Dear Patriots, for your edification and amusement. Yes, there is one additional question the Politi-Pollster could not resist adding. It's just how I roll.
After you finish voting and re-reading this screed, be sure to contact Sens Ron Wyden & Jeff Merkley, Rep David Wu, and President Barack Obama and let 'em all know where you stand on the issue.
Wishing you a healthy future,
Your Humble Politi-Pollster
socialized system left off poll
IMO, the poll missed a chance to distinguish single payer from the British model of a fully government-run system. This distinction is being intentionally obscured by the MSM and the insurers and their political agents (our supposed elected representatives).
